Karma Yoga

I start my day by taking a holy bath by reading GURU GITA. After reading Guru Gita, I feel very energetic and confident. However While entering office, I face lots of problems from different sources. Even after sincere efforts I never been able to concentrate and finish my work with satisfaction due to various distractions. And finally when I get back to home I used to feel very tired and less energetic. I wonder how come when I start the day it is very fresh and energetic and when I return back I lost all my energy and strength ?.

What is the reason ? Definitely Something is wrong.
I remembered Param Poojya Shri Guru dev's vani "Do not feel that you are doing the work, You are not the doer. It is your ego which says "I am the doer". Know that Kundalini Shakti is working through you. She is the doer."

Absolutely this is the problem. So before starting the work, I tried to remember this message but as the work progresses I am losing the balance and getting lost. How can I remember this message the whole day? So I started to take a 2 minute break every half an hour under any circumstances and remember Param Poojya Shri Guru dev's message. This habit has immensely motivated me to overcome any problems in office, able to maintain peace through out the day, complete the work with great satisfaction and also feeling energetic.

* Sadhak should be self-disciplined.
* Sadhak should not wander and loose his goal.
* Sadhak should contribute at least 5% of his income to charitable organizations

ABSOLUTE ONENESS

Feeling of Duality is hell; feeling of absolute oneness is Mukti.

- quotation from Swami Nityananda's messages

Where Is my Path ?

"When one closes his eyes, he has infinite possibility, He can travel through various directions, and can be completely lost, So, in such case which direction he should choose ? Answer is simple, He has to choose the direction where his SadGuru resides. When one remembers SadGuru, the path can be seen and he just have to follow the path to his GURU"

Experience with Param Poojya Shri Gurudev

on 2-01-11 (sunday) visited Siddhaloka Ashram

Param Poojya Shri Gurudev was answering queries of Mr.Ravi of Infosys
When Mr.Ravi said "People in my office laugh when I say my Guru is god"
Param Poojya Shri Gurudev explained "God can speak through every body. only one shuold have faith in it. Surya Dasa removed his eye balls when he did not hear from god. Then lord krishna played with him when was playing with his musical instrument."

HE reiterated "It is possible to feel , speak to god in every body"

I was in emotion when I heard it. I was in tears as I too long for such experience

My First Meet with Swamiji
In 2002 I read an article in Times of India With Title "Ashrams are not picnic spot"

This title attracted me.
I was in search of a living spiritual master for the previous 3 years and
I went around many ashrams and spiritual gatherings.
But no where I could meet and speak to the masters, as there were always crowd around.

When I went to Siddhaloka , I was astonished as I was introduced to Param Poojya Shri Gurudev. HE was in bold Saffron clad, with head gear

All the while HE was giving discourse.
At the end he asked me . What you want from me.
Immediately I retorted, I want realization.
Then HE corrected me as God realization.

He assured me you will have it . may be while going back or little latter.

This incident and his assurance made vibrant changes in me
I went to the Main road ( around 3 KM)by walking.
I was remembering every incident happened and also enjoying the greeneries around

I never thought that I will come across such Sadhguru.

I like books by Swamy Vivekanada.
I do read some time.

Some time I think my self with Swami Vivekanada and Swamiji as Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

Ravi K

Self Realisation

"I am meditating" this sort of practice with 'ego' is useless. For Self Realisation 'Ego' has no role to play. To realise the Self, which permeats through the whole body, is to recognise our own divinity. There is nothing to be taught as there is nothing to learn about it. For this divine experience we need a Sadguru, who has realised the Self.

The Power Of Appendage

Param Poojya Shri Gurudev used to narrate this story to show the power of appendage.

A couple lived in a small village. They had no children. One day a wandering Sadhu visited their house. The couple cordially invited the Sadhu and offered him the shelter and food. As days passed, many devotees used to visit their house for the darshan of Sadhu and many used to offer the sadhu with money & other wealth. Sadhu trusted the couple and He gave all the wealth & money which has come through offerings to the couple. Over a period, the wealth that he has given to the couple has grown to a worth of Rs.1 lakh. Sadhu decided to leave the house and HE asked the couple to give his money so that he can leave and search some other place for his living. They inturn asked him which money? We do not have any money of yours. Listening to this, the Sadhu was shocked and he died immediately because of heart attack.

After a year, the couple was blessed with a baby boy. As he grow, they have shown more love and care. But the boy developed bad habits when he grew up. He tend to spend more money of his parents without limits. On his 21st birthday, his parents arrange a big ceremony to celebrate. He also thoroughly enjoyed all the celebration. The same day before going to sleep, he had a desire to eat the beetle leaf which is of worth 10 paisa and he asks for it, after having he goes to sleep. Next day morning, the boy was found dead. The couple enquire their accountant to know how much did they spend for the boy from birth to death. The accountant replied "including the yesterday’s beetle leaf he had before going to sleep he spent exactly 1 lakh rupees". The couple understood that it is no other than the Sadhu who has born as a child to them and he left once he had collected the 1 lakh rupees from them

Kularnava Tantra

"Srigurum Paramam tattvam tisthantam caksuragratah |
Mandabhagya na pasyanti hyandhah suryamivoditam || "

Just as the blind cannot see the rising sun, similarly, unfortunate people cannot see the supreme Principle, Shri Gurudev, even when he is right before their eyes." When one attains true discrimination, one's eye becomes sufficiently sensitive for one to understand Shri Guru.

Who Is Swamiji ?

Many of my friends ask me who is Swami Chetanananda Saraswati:
I felt "Param Poojya Shri Gurudev is none other than one's own SELF. HE is the ONE who is always in pure conscious and blissful state. I feel HE has no desire and no intentions and HIS only purpose of this life is to guide people from the life of frustration to life of fulfillment."

LIFE AND DEATH

Life is due to Karma (actions) & as there is life some action will also take place. What comes first - Life or Action ?

How the first life would have come and if there was no action, what would have been the base of the first life.

The divine resolution of "Ekoham Bahusyaam" (I am One, I wish to take many forms) is the base of this creation, to come into existance. In this creation the cycle of life & action will go on.

One, who understands the reason of this unending cycle, can get rid of this vicious cycle. Just opposite to "Ekoham Bahusyaam", when one gets released from the bondage of many-many actions & merge with the Lord, the only ONE, then only, it is possible to be liberated.

Does Breath Stops ?

Couple of times during meditation, I felt like the breath is going to stop or stopped. As meditation progressed, the breath gradually slowed down and at certain point, I felt like the breath has stopped or going to stop. The breath is neither going out nor coming into the body, but the air that is within was continuously rotating within the body. I felt good and peaceful.

Thanks
Krupa

SELF- TRUTH

* To gain pleasure is an illusion. Like a mirage, pleasure can never be achieved. Because it is unreal, like a mirror image. Pleasure is seen outside but real happiness exists only within one's Self.

* All the external efforts with techniques, courses & discourses are useless to know the Self, the God within.

* The search of the Self should be from within.

* Experience the Self (Truth), and hold the belief firmly.

- Swami Chetanananda Saraswati

3 Oaths of Siddha Yoga

1 . Siddham Sharanam Gachaami

Translation:
A Siddha is one who has attained self realization - the Supreme goal of life. Through this self realization comes power to bestow grace upon others. This grace works as a blessing. So for the meaningfulness of life and to receive the blessings of Siddha, I surrender at the feet of Siddhas humbly.

2. Sangham Sharanam Gachaami

Translation:
Today the world is heading towards destruction due to evils like jealousy and mutual conflicts. So it is of utmost importance to unite and become one and live lovingly. So whatever power I get at the feet of Siddhas, I will use it to unite mankind.

3. Svatmanam Sharanam Gachaami

Translation:
On getting the innate power of Siddhas would we become selfish ? we may feel greedy to lead ? In the presence of Guru we won't become a Guru ? one would not get tied to fulfillment of selfish pursuits ? This transient attraction may trap us, so we should always be happy in the self.

Translation :

wash the mind on foundation firm
To realize the glow of truth

I felt this message is absolutely true and wanted to share with you all

Who is the Meditator ?

Whenever disciple says like "I am meditating" or on any queries on meditation, Param Poojya Sri Gurudev used to ask "Who is the meditator ? definitely not you. When you are eating and the lights go off who is the one who feeds you to your mouth and not to your ears ?. who is meditating at that moment ? God is meditating for you, as you and within you"

Sadguru Grace & Guru Seva

The Sadguru's Blessings and HIS grace are meant for our spiritual progress not for fulfilling our ordinary worldly needs and desires.
The fruit of Guru seva (service to the Guru) is the contentment and right understanding forever.

Dream

One night, in dream, I met one of the old devotee of His Holiness Param Poojya Sri Gurudev. He was talking to me as usual and then he gave me a message "Each person will have their own assumptions of what is good and bad for them. But when we are living under the grace of guru, whatever happens will be benefit for ones happiness & growth", I felt this statement very true. I felt high energy and was soon awaken from that. I never thought dreams could be very meaningful and surprised to get such experiences.

Guru Vakya (Messages) - II

Param Poojya Swami Chetanananda Saraswati on Self-Realization:
"Self Realization cannot be achieved by learning, argument or preaching. Self Realization means a Oneness that is experienced constantly: while working, traveling, talking, just as much while praying or chanting a mantra. It is oneness with THAT entity which is illuminating the sky eternally like the Pole star. THAT divine bliss resides within you, always, and can be realized only from within."

"You must see God in your own heart. You can see Him only if you look within yourself. He is very much there as your innermost Self. There is no use of searching for Him outside. That God can be seen by searching deep within your own heart. You have to search for Him in the proper way. When you find Him there, then only can you experience true bliss.
- Bhagawan Nityananda (in Chidakashagita)

Param Poojya Swami Chetanananda Saraswati on service to one's Guru:
"Guru Smaranam (Remembrance of the Guru) and Guru Seva (Service to the Guru) can never be a matter of a certain time of the day. It should not be mistaken as just the routine pooja (prayers) in the morning, which may be for 15 minutes or 1-2 hours. Sri Gurudev is with you for every minute of the day, every day. Then how can you offer pooja in the morning and forget HIM for the rest of the day ?"

"Sri Guru Seva is a great penance and its prasad (fruit) is the sweetest of all prasadas. Sri Guru Seva must be offered by all three means Tana (body), Mana (Mind) and Dhana ( Material means). It must be clear that Seva by any one of these means is incomplete."

"Bhakti (Devotion) is not the donation of money or food or alms. True devotion is love of all living beings in this world. It is the feeling and realization of oneness, without experiencing duality, and the capacity to see God in all forms of life. A true Bhakta (Devotee) sees himself in all things around him. Redemption depends upon devotion. A good worker gets good wages, one who does not work well receives less wages. Liberation from bondage is seeing the One in All and the All in One. This is freedom from desire"
- Bhagwan Nityananda ( in Chidakashgita)

Red and White Light

On May, during meditation, couple of times I had a darshan of small red color light at the center of the dark space and It disappeared after few moments.

Couple of days later, I again had a darshan but this time I saw a white light which has very similar appearance to that of candle light and disappeared after few moments.

Gurur Vakya (Messages)

* Even if there is no desire to attaining liberation and no element of devotion, Meditation will have to be put into practice for leading a successful life. Concentration is essential for success in any work. Meditation is an inescapable and unique means of achieving concentration. Therefore, if not for the sake of doing good to others, at least for leading one's own life rightly, one will have to bring meditation in daily routine.
- Swami Chetanananda Saraswati

* Think and think about atman(Self). Mind when it is one-pointed is great indeed. This mind is the 'Eternal Mind' is called 'Chidakash'. A pure mind is 'Clean space', Siddhi, Yoga. When you are in this clean space, you find true fulfillment. Then the difference between 'you' and 'I' will vanish. In this clean space is Mukti (liberation), Bhakti (devotion), and Shakti (divine power)
- Bhagawan Nityananda

* That divine light which is illuminating the entire universe does not belong to any caste, creed or scripture. That self-illuminating Sun-God is equally the creator, sustainer and destroyer of all. Diversity is man-made and imaginary. The feeling of duality, fit to be avoided like venom, is the cause of universal destruction and is a hazard in the parth of human effort towards eternity. To see oneness in all is the best practice and accomplishment for human beings.
- Swami Chetanananda Saraswati

* In the beginning there was only one religion - the religion of the Self and that religion alone is true. It is second to none. All differences exist only in nature. Only to the external vision. To the one who has realized the Atman and through that, God, there is only bliss in that state: Sat-Chit-Ananda. That alone is true religion.
- Bhagawan Nityananda

* Once a crow was searching for food. He noticed the carcass of a buffalo floating in a rain water drain. The crow descended upon it and started biting into the flesh. It so relished the flesh that it started living over there only, as water was also available from the drain. In course of time, as the drain joined the river, the carcass also flowed into the river. The crow enjoyed more now. As time passed, the carcass floated down the river and ultimately drifted into the sea. With time, the crow grew tired of the salty sea water and the fierce wind. The flesh of the carcass also no longer gave any taste or satisfaction. The crow thought of having a change of food and took a flight. In that vastness of the ocean, it could not find any tree or even food. Neither did it find any piece of land as a resting place. Not only that, even the carcass had drifted out of sight by now, carried away by the wind and waves. The crow, exhausted, fell into the sea and perished.

It is extremely important to remember the goal of human life. A GOAL-LESS LIFE IS A WASTED LIFE
- Swami Chetanananda Saraswati

* One must seek the shortest way and the fastest means of get back home. To turn the spark within into a blaze, to be merged in and to identify with that greater fire which ignited the spark.
- Bhagawan Nityananda

Raise of Shakthi

On the entire march Param Poojya sri Gurudev is on chetan Yatra covering 12 states across the country. On 7th April, morning I came to know that HE is arriving to Ashram on the same day by 12 nooon. Hearing Swamiji's arrival I had a sudden raise of energy from muladhar & destroying all my thoughts in a second. I could say that this is very similar to a bright light destroying darkness. All my sensitivity was on the forehead. I was little scared but felt peace throughout the day.

I know for sure nothing in this world is TRUTH. I know my mother, father, dear friends, dear relatives, colleagues are not really true. Only one is TRUE. Only in one I feel certainty. Only Param Poojya Sri Gurudev is TRUTH.

Kechari Mudra

On the month of febraury 2009, during meditation my tongue rolled back naturally. I never expected this during meditation and at the same time I was feeling good. Many questions raised in my mind still i was enjoying this experience. Slowly I realized what is happening, as mind is settling down, the tongue naturally rolls back and touches the soft pallet of the roof of my mouth. This softness is very soft. When you are out of meditation & try to touch the same roof you feel it is much harder. As the experience deepens, slowly the physical senses of my tongue disappeared. I sense my tongue is really trying harder to reach something beyond this roof. The sweet taste of nectar through the tip of the tongue slowly spread throughout my body. I am completely absorbed in this experience. I explained this experience to GURU on the eve of Shakthi-path deeksha (febraury) . Swamiji told me that this is called as "Kechari mudra", and advised me not to be afraid of this experience instead he told me to enjoy when it happens. For about a month I was experiencing this continuously during meditation.
